Mommy, Memorial Day, Maya Angelou, and Music

Wassup World,

A quick post today because it is one that I write with a somber heart.

Ill start with this past Memeorial Day,
I  had fun but the relevance and the meaning of the day does not escape me

Happy Memorial Day

This is a day created to remember and properly honor our warriors who lost their life...

No matter what you think of the regimes and the corporate wars that remove these people from the planet you have to remember that they died under the guise of fighting for the freedoms we all hold dear

For that blind loyalty, for the courage in the face of what was certain death, for the fact that they fight what they want to be pure justice for all they deserve respect

To the Fallen
I Salute you

Thank you

6/3

The day before that was an equally Somber Occasion for me as it was my mothers birthday and she been gone for almost 3 years now

Rest In Peace
Missionary Shevone L Stewart

I will Make you proud while I am here

Two days after Memorial Day we lost a huge inspiration and a giant in this world. A woman who spread peace and impowerment in every decade she here.

RIP Maya Angelou

Activist, Laureate, Inspiration

She is an example that no matter what happens, no matter the mistakes you make, no matter peoples' perceptions of those mistakes,
Greatness is still yours to create

But there is a lot of Happiness around the corner because thanks to a Combination of
Killing Spree and Jimbo Phia of SoPhia Pros (S/O to Rebell Studios)

I will Be introducing my SUMMER BANGA

Fresh One In The Building #F11TB
Its a little bit more intense than my normal style but hey why not? we blowing up over here and it all starts

Ujima and Ujama

Ujima and Ujama
Collective work and Resposibility, Collective Economics
These principles are the reason why Kwanzaa is not a mainstream holiday...
These principles would teach us as a people how to rule the world...
We have to begin working together and not being crabs in a bucket....
everytime we got close to internalizing these concepts as people something pushes us back into the idea that we are all Against each other
-Field/House Slave Dynamics
-Dr King's Assassination
-Malcolm X assassination
-Heroin
-Crack
-The Commercialization of Rap Music
and all of these factors keep us under the poverty line when we have gone through enough in 400 years to be way farther up the ladder than we are as a whole
look around us we living with the locusts
Jews own our homes
Arabs own our chicken spots
Spaniards own our Corner store
Europeans sell us liquor clothes and Drugs
what do we sell them in their neighborhoods?
-Nothing
what do we have around us
-Not Enough
We Have things likes Barbershops and Restaurants
But so many people are focused on the small time hustle instead having our own...
Just think about the power we would hold if we were to grasp the Principles that are represented between yesterday and today...because those who seek to keep us below the poverty line have thought about it THOROUGHLY

The track list is set the Artwork is looking good no thanks to Sky Designs aka Schyuler McCall (never pay this man please!!!)

The Black Nerd Society + SeptEmber

Wassup World,

And Just Like That its Virgo Season
I'm not that lives by the horoscopes like that (but bitches do *Katt Williams Voice*) lol
So Shout out to those that share a sign with me

The Black Nerd Society

The Black Nerd Society is going to be a Hip Hop conglomerate in the coming future. I was talkin with my boy VJ a few months back about how me andThe Advocatz along with so many underground acts that I pass and shake hands with as I grudge through this path to stardom don't get any traction just because there is a lack of a team to lean on.
No support from each other. No Collaborations. Why, you might ask?

50% is cause niggas is wack lol. everybody thinks everybody is wack. I'm probably wack to you niggas who turned off the music playing on the blog right lol...But seriously, ego causes everyone to act like they are so much better than others, not cool. Music is an expression of self and as long as its pure self-expression its not wack.

The Other 50% is unreliability. Its hard to do anything serious because people are generally hard to trust. People tend to have agendas and reason why or why not to do certain things that may be harmful or helpful to help their particular cause. Our agenda would be our greatness, mutual greatness , meaning we are all each other circles at the same time

I want us to find a good means to getting to the ends of success together
So I want to invite a bunch of people that I know to this conglomerate that I seek to create

We can't wait for the things to be created because the limits of creation is imagination.

My List of Musical People, Entrepreneurs, Producers, Managers and So On:
 Jennifer Poetica
VJ
The Advocatz

King P
King Lenyx
DJ Sleepy
DJ Kaution
DJ Emperor
Sosa Ezekoli

Gem Uriah Starr
Gabriel Roz
YPG

Jimbo Phia
Joey Rosado
Ron Goblyn
Stephano Pilano (Stephen)

Niquesta
Winter

Shyrria
And anyone else down with the movement

This list of people are in my immediate scope of thoughts so if i tagged u and your name is not here dont feel a way i respect your hustle just didn't think of your name at the time

Either I have fired the first Salvo putting you on to my minor network of people who I've met and would like to do real business with.....Your Move!

The Heatwave and the search for Charles Hamilton

Wassup World,

The Fresh One is here therefore, IMMMMM BACKKKKKK. Blogging is the hardest thing in the world for me to do consistently. I need to up my game a bit but the whole social networking vibe is a little much for hip hop's anti-socialist.

That's my a nickname I thought up on the spot tho....

Anyway in other news as I have been touting for years now I have a Mixtape coming soon if distractions and if laziness dont come into par Sept.Ember will be released in mid-September. That is my all time favorite month w February and December as close follow ups (Shout Out to Toya).  Back to topic tho, this means a lot of work and a lot of Marketing and being that I have a minimum wage job and have to work my ass off to only half pay my creditors, that means that I cant use this computer for marketing as often as I like nor can I do shows all the time...UGH I LOVE DOING SHOWS and there are so many out right now but alas I will have to wait.

Sept.Ember is a Mixtape inspired by my former manager Christine "Class C" who helped me a lot more than people can see, or what it even personally felt like she did. She helped me understand to work! And never stop until the goal is achieve no excuses EVER!
So, while I may be on my MasterQuest (Shout Out to Black Nerds) I won't be making any excuses to My Failures so I will be working knowing that my success or failure is my fault here a track listing for my soon to be epic.....

Sept.Ember tracklist  (Still Subject to Changes)

Cigarette Ashes feat. Roddy Rod (Prod. by Sean Jr.)
Payday Flow (Prod. by History Now)
Dolph Ziggler (Show Off) (Prod. by ----)
What's The Matter, Stevie?
Exhibit A (Hell's Gate)
Distant Flickering (Prod. by Wymtime)
September's Ember feat. Ken (Prod. by ----)
With Nothin On
Lottery Ticket
Anytime (Prod. by Santana 2k12)
Counting Hours (Prod. by Mahareshi)

Thats the List in the meantime I Have done a few promo tracks and freestyle because let's face a brotha need the buzz

So As You Have been Listening to I dropped one of the Heatwaves this past Monday
9 tracks some old, most new, some exclusive and some Mixtape Previews!!! continue to enjoy those please

In Life there somethings that are critically panned by the majority but the at its essence is so good that the genius behind can't be denied. Family Guy is a prime example of this idea, the fact that it was cancelled before it was ever understood to be the powerhouse that is today. Illmatic is an example of this as well one the greatest albums of all time took almost a decade to even go Platinum and begin to beckon the respect that it truly deserved. As an artist, a prime example of these things with ridiculous cult followings, with a level of misconstrued genius that once gripped can't be released is  Mr. Charles Hamilton.

Charles is an artist who a friend put me on to back in 2008 (Shout Out to VJ and the Advocatz) and I had never heard an artist who was so much where I was in thought and mind. A guy who knew and respected music, sampled famously, and spit whatever was on his mind at any given time. He developed a a song for each emotion, thought sequence and feeling of a young black troubled kid who liked video games and cartoons when he was growing up. Knowing that just because you weren't "throwing jacks in your mouth" at 15 you were still someone who went through and he had your back. Songs like "Outside", "Jeezy Hamilton", "Charlie's Angels", "Mr. Perfect", "Neverland", "Honesty Box", "11:59 PM (Pretty Memories)", "10 Minutes", "Free Incoming", and "Get On the Bandwagon" he really showed me personally that as an artist I could be whoever I wanted as long as I was good and dedicated  I will always respect Charles Hamilton

That respect is going to lead to my pilgrimage to Harlem. I want the personal motivation and a little teach on how to be the best pure artist I can be. I would search out Foxy Brown because that conversation went so well the first time but she might be dodging serious legal issues behind that unbe-weave-able allegation.
I will be uptown slightly more often until i find him and get the information that I need from him to Reemerge as a new and perfected emcee.

Mali March Madness 2013

Wassup for all of those that don't know you could call me The Fresh One, The Better Best, The Phenomenal One
and for every one else TheyCallMeMalimal

I am Mad Hype about the sounds that are gonna be sliding through the tubes sooner rather than later

Another Year another second quarter renaissance.

This means that I will be cheaply trying to market off of the beloved basketball tradition March Madness

My March Madness means:
New Music
More Shows
and A few more singles from my upcoming debut Mixtape September's Ember

Those tracks are slated to be:
"Counting Hours"
"Distant Flickering"
"Past Tense"
And The Long Awaited "Anytime" (Which I am Planning a visual for)

All of this accompanied by a litany of freestyles over beats new and old
so while the athleticism of the 64 teams in the tournament entertains you as I root for Julian Boyd from my alma matter Long Island University Black Birds
I will do my best to bring the hip hop that ur soul urks for
That MalimalMusic and more of it than u could shake a Stick at

This brooklyn rapper has brought his sound from Brownsville to places far beyond bed stuy, Bushwick, Williamsburg but to places all throughout the tri-state
