I Want an Empire!!!!!! and I'm Takin Mine

Wassup World its the One and Only DJ Malimal checking in again and today's blog is gonna be about several different issues the first is my empire.........

In order to get my Empire I need people in my life that will not hinder me, hurt me or distract me from my goal....with that being said my Queen is gone. I'm tired of not being fully appreciated, not being understood and feeling so down when speaking to her..........It's depressing and I mean that not to take shots but to say shes not the one I wanna be with and she don't wanna be with me that much so...Good Riddance........


I am in the workings to have half of The Nobility known as the BlazeUp Clik gone as well....I only want people whose hearts are in it and through talks with the Nobility we have a group of people on the chopping block and one definitely GONE.......speaking on that matter Germs has gotten under my skin and I want him to shape up or ship out PERIOD now its not my group and by all means I want no totalitarian style command I jus want to know that I working with the dedicated and not the same ole High School raps and flow........so........GOOD RIDDANCE....the boys came up with the idea for me to battle Germs and Imma tear him up and force him to Grow or get Pruned I mean come I ended an almost 2 year relationship I can certainly say bye to Germs........

My empire is expanding with the official annex of Jaiden Law!!!!!!!! and The Mixtape Release Party for Kazi's Freshman & 18 is well under way and I'm gonna try to secure some great guests and there will be acts

Malimal in The Hamiltonization Process is well under way with the Completion of "Outside (Canarsie 2 Brownsville Mix) featuring Jaiden Law and the next track under way is gonna be "The Saga Continues" which is a gonna make a great segue into The next Mixtape----The Forbidden One---The Najma Naeema Project and this Mixtape is under way with "Najma Naeema" I'm making the Beat Myself and its gonna be great!!!!! Michael Jackson is on it (RIP its a Sample) and he is gonna be on the two Major tracks due to his influence on the whole story so look for and with that being Said

Freshman Issues

Wassup World!!!! if I didn't promote it hard enough next time I'll promote it harder but you missed the 6 minutes of a LIFETIME me and Kazi did the damn thing heavy at The Drahma Magazine show....SO Heavy in fact that it is helpin us build the empire with our own hands......

We were the lean off act and we decided to perform a short medley of "Dollar Circulate" and "When Times Get Hard" and finished it off with the full "Cold World" song and when we were done big name producer E-Dubb gave us the co-sign and were workin on him being the host for the mixtape!!!!......btw they were suckin E-dubb over there HARD they played the songs he producer back to back and they were treatin me like a hype man...damn niggas.....

NOW ABOUT THE TURNOUT 4 KAZI
A lot of people said they were gonna come thru and then more people said they were gonna pay.......WHAT HAPPENED .....well lets see a lot of people suddenly realized that they didn't have the money or the time.......then others had parental issues.......some didn't give a reason....some left their ID at home and one was "home......napping" (fu3k u Ragoo ok lol) come on people show the kid some support....which brings me to the title of this post

Kazi is gettin into this magazine but he could've used you peoples help.....because he needed 25 people to come thru in order to get his spread.....But he did get his DVD interview and his photo shoot so I need you people to help him get on the Map come on we are great!!! come on Freshman class come through.......

The Freshman and The Drahma.......

I would just like to thank everyone who is making the Summer of Soykat a sucess. Kazi is getting a TON of love at the Showcases and open mics..........Shout Out to Mental Supreme and Chocolate Thai........We meeting A&R's left and right but I need to learn how to have longer conversations with them...Right now the closest A&R to me is C-Class an Assistant A&R over at Def Jam which is huge because Kazi is the biggest Jay fan and I am personally the biggest Nas fan. The with this is C-Class doesn't know is that I know him much better than he Knows me....He use go out with my cousin so my little brother had all the exclusives on his music and used to play them all the time...I actually have his first mixtape "Same Grade Different Class" and I liked it. I couldve saw him growing in the game but he gave up and decided behind the scenes is better then outside of them.........

In other News......



Kazi' s first magazine shoot is coming up soon after (dun dun duuuuuuuuun) HIS FIRST CONCERT SET yup thats right

God sent an angel in the form of patience from Mr.Daniels. I think he was glad that he waited i think Kazi came off to him as Fresh and cool. He complemented Kazi's delivery and flow as well as giving us some good advice on professionalism.
So we made it happen and by the end of the month we are gonna have a spread in a Magazine....Talk about the The Summer of Soykat!!!!!!!

By the way be on the look out for the biggest viral marketing campaign in the history of mixtapes!!!!!!!!

and another note today I put the wheels in motion to work with the great Charles Hamilton i think that would be an extremely valuable asset in the growth and plus I get to meet Charles and work with him....YAY.....hopefully this starchaser is going to catch his light lol

The Name Game.....

Well bloggers I know its been awhile but I'm back with some more news...


....Soykat the Freshman is now DOING SHOWS!!!!!.....try And he had a photoshoot......along with that he wants to go by his government name Kazi....I began to change his name on the imeem songs and then I realized there is another rapper named Kazi...a black dude.....I wonder where his name eminates from...hmm oh well so for the time being his name Kazi aka Soykat the Freshman and we gonna do it like that...

Kazi should sue Kazi 1st nope better yet wait for the suit and then countersue we'll win oh yea lol...

Bloggers Are Rude.....

Over this past weekend short term goal came true.....
I totally upset my Current favorite Rapper.....Charles Hamilton.....well the goal wasnt exactly to upset him but he asked for it.......literally the post said "come at me as hard as you can".....so of course i went in and upset him enough that he decided to talk to me......

I hit him hard with a sharp blow about the Black Spade "Shinin'" Incident....

(For those that don't know Black Spade is a small time producer out in the midwest who approached Charles about the Frankie Beverly and Maze sample in the song by Hamilton of off his Pink Lavalamp Album/Mixtape and alledged that the intro was his and had resung it using his own recording equipment. The mini war waged pushing Hamilton to publicize his Pro Tools files which to most reveal that the beat is Spade's)

.......Yeah I totally Lampooned him and he subsequently wrote on my wall claiming spade was a relative....I wasn't upset I was freakin starstruck....this is the guy that produced..."Where's My Fu*kin Genesis"....which i always wanted to do cause he did off my favorite Sonic 2 beat (Mystic Cave Zone)....he wrote "Outside," "Unapologetic," "Charlie's Angels," and "Conversations With God" ...and then conceptualized mixtapes "Sonic The Hamilton" and Well Isn't This Awkward"

but honestly as starstruck as I was I could still tell u he was being a little biggety Bi+ch
So hit him in his soul by violating the "Super Sonic Philosophy" and he tried to be all semi-profession angry to make me seem like the bad guy lol and he deleted me

We message each other where i explained how I thought it was a joke and all he talked about was communication....I also talked about how Mr. Positive Zone only responded to negativity
he said that it would get better....yea so is that why he didnt respond to my follow up message so after me and Jo cleaned up on Mr. Hamilton i realized he probably completely ignored the Shameless plugs for this website my mixtape...The Malimalification of the Hamiltonization Process and Soykat's Mixtape the Freshman.....

Speaking of which we gotta New Realease from that joint called Dollars Circulate featuring his boy Cubez on a cold 9th Wonder Joint its fire and the Empire Grows.........

Look this man is my friend and an extremely talented musician but he's also something else that I only fully undertood once I perused his myspace.....

A dude that loves chillin with his homies and brazilian chicks!!!!!!


I was planning on trying to add him the empire that is Malimatic Management/Malimatic Produckshunz
the man has many great business contacts due to his life in the business when he was younger

You see the give and take here I give a person he can trust and he teaches me the inner workings of the business to a point where I could figure it out with some abstract thinking....I mean I have all the talent i need to take this thing to the next level now i need to be on the inside of this Fraternity....of assholes....if I am ever going to get my empire going

WHich brings me to my next point Colin Steele...The self titled debut on sale on CDbaby.com is a generally hot little independent album not heres the kicker......

I think the album is for a slightly different set of ears than mines....

Generally the album has great songs
"More Of You" and the "Sunday Mix" are hot little midtempo joints to make you move with your lady super catchy and it opens up the album anyone that can't appreciate this guy's vocal prowess or the way he was so generally smooth on this extra buttery joint is deaf

"The Word Is Out" is the next track a highly electric joint about secret lover being exposed by one of the lovers big mouths.....as a straight guy gotta tell you this one is a little borderline for me.....especially when the refrain says "keep it on the D keep it on the L keep it on the DL" we know what that means but R. Kelly also said Down Low and it was cool because he wasn't as ambigous...I'm just sayin Don't piss on my face and tell me it's rainin' but still tight vocals the man has sensational soprano and falsetto

"Stay With Me" is similar to "The Word Is Out" in terms of pace and electricity but this joint is about a lover pleading for the loving to continue still the man is academic with the vocal and this song is almost catchier than the other 2

"Fantasy" is amongst my least favorites and his slowest joint a ballad about being the friend but wanting more the vocals are great but the beat is confusing and hard to follow at least for me the storyline is better than the song

"Let's Make a Flick" featuring A.C.E. is a potent energetic song to bring you out of the rut that Fantasy might put you in. This song is bonafide hiphop west coast baby maker and A.C.E. sounds like The Game and E-40 Had a baby.....in other words he sounds like another west coast rapper with raunchy lyrics and "freaky dances" in high heels this song is bound to get you dubbing in the club

"Leavin'" a more deep personal joint about a man's need for freedom and self realization. the mid tempo joint is sure to make you think about your own chains and restrictions

"What Money Does To A Man" this song could have been better. the dreary tone of the beat sets up an introspective of the effects of a lifestyle based on "the root of all evil" once again featuring A.C.E. who this time is doing most of the work while Steele provides the dark adlibs and shrills that bring the song together. the song itself leaves a lot to bit desired

"Break Me Off" on the shallow end of the pool the bassline proves to annoy rather then illuminate this dark uptempo joint. the title should be self explanatory and if not then you probably shouldn't even be reading my blog.......a more generic song by Steele it lacks the sole of earlier joints

and Finally "You Can Make It (If You Try)" This song sounds like something out of Maddona's playbook and this is the ill vogue track and therefore is the least appealing track of the whole album to me....it speaks to a different crowd.....a crowd that happens to reside on West 4th st in Manhattan or whereever the Village is...Sorry just keeping it real

All in All the album recieves a favorable rating of 7/10 could be better with more inspired joints but the voice on this man is sensational

The Video For "More Of You" was released on Youtube on May 23, 2009 and it is soo confusing and raises many questions about Steele's sexuality......I'm the type of guy that's not gonna call you Gay or Homosexual until you tell me but this video is really really putting it into perspective for me......Still a phenomenal artist though....you be the Judge......
